The 40 hour HAZWOPER Training Class from Safety Helpers LLC includes Instructor-Led Training and upon completion, the student becomes 40 hour HAZWOPER Certified.

40 hour HAZWOPER Training - General Information:
HAZWOPER 40 hour training is required for workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances.

This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.

Note: Trainees must have additional hands-on training and use of the Personal Protective Equipment required for their jobsite(s) in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.

Workers must have 40 hours of initial training before they may enter the site and OSHA typically will ask for proof of this training during "Audits". The worker may be asked to provide proof they completed 8 hour annual HAZWOPER Refresher classes to keep the certification "current".

DOT - Hazardous Material Transportation class - The DOT – Hazardous Material Transportation class is required for any worker involved in the shipment of Hazardous Materials by ground. This class satisfies all ground hazmat carrier requirements including FedEx and UPS. It is intended for both initial and recurrent training of persons working with hazardous materials as required by the Department of Transportation. This certification needs to be refreshed every 3 years.

DOT HAZMAT Transportation Training: This is initial Certification training for workers who ship, receive, or transport Hazardous Materials by ground. The DOT – Hazardous Material Transportation class is required for any worker involved in the shipment of Hazardous Materials by ground. This class cover topics included in 49 CFR 172.704. 8 hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training: This is annual Refresher training for 40 hour and 24 hour HAZWOPER certified individuals. This class meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites. This class is designed for general site workers who are potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards. Topics include HAZWOPER regulations, safety and health plans, hazardous chemicals, safety hazards, air monitoring, medical surveillance, site control, decontamination, personal protective equipment, and respiratory equipment. This is HAZWOPER Instructor-Led classroom training, includes Instructor presentation, videos, exercises, “mock” drills, and class discussion. This class follows the OSHA HAZWOPER Standard: 29 CFR 1910.120. Each student, after completion of the final exam, receives a certificate and wallet card. HAZWOPER 24 hour Initial class - The HAZWOPER 24 hour class is required for employees visiting an Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Operation mandated by the Government . Part-time or occasional site workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances are required to take the 24 hour class.

24 hour HAZWOPER Training: This is initial Certification training for “Part time” or occasional site visitors, involved with Hazardous Materials. This class covers broad issues pertaining to the hazard recognition at work sites. This course, while identifying different types of hazards, also suggests possible precautions and protective measures to reduce or eliminate hazards at the work place. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This is HAZWOPER Instructor-Led classroom training, includes Instructor presentation, videos, exercises, “mock” drills, and class discussion. This class follows the OSHA HAZWOPER Standard: 29 CFR 1910.120. Each student, after completion of the final exam, receives a certificate and wallet card.
